This page is designed to inform members of the First Unitarian Church of Austin (FUUCA) and other visitors of the status of this revised web site during its initial shakedown period of several months, and from then on. The church’s Web Team invites members and other viewers to submit comments and suggestions at . We will appreciate any and all such feedback, ranging from minor typos and grammatical slips to correction of errors, improvements in the content, and major changes and new features. We will try to read and respond to all such comments, within the spirit of our Covenant of Healthy Relations and within our abilities to deal with the quantity of comments received.
This completely-revised web site is expected to go into service in the first week of January 2011. It has been designed and assembled by a Web Development Team consisting of Andi Windham, Peter Roll, Julia Gregory Poirier, and Lisa Carrell. The site uses a new version of WordPress with many technical improvements over the former site.
The Development Team hopes that the new site will be
- more attractive, easier and pleasant to use
- more informative, better organized
- easier to maintain by ordinary church members with minimal training
- easier to add new features as our time and technology permits
The church is undergoing substantial change at the same time this new web site is being introduced. Many tweaks and refinements are always required after a major revision. This site will be undergoing many minor and major changes during its first several months, so visitors may expect occasional periods when the site cannot be reached. Indeed, a web site is a living organism which needs to change continuously to best represent its parent organization. We will keep you informed of changes at the top of this page.
