Public Affairs Forum

The Public Affairs Forum is held at 11:45 AM on most Sundays in the Sanctuary at the First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin, sponsor of the forum. The Church is located at 4700 Grover. These one hour forums are open to the public and admission is free.

Forums include lectures by prominent speakers on a wide variety of topics – social equity, politics, environmental issues, science, community action initiatives, and others. Most forum events allow time for the audience to ask questions of the speaker and are videotaped, edited and broadcast on ChannelAustin TV Cable Channel 10 at 6 pm on Sundays. DVD videos of the Forums are available through the church bookstore. Expect up to a few weeks turn around time for DVD requests.

For information on upcoming Forum topics, see the Weekly Announcements, the tentative schedule for the current season, or contact the Church office at 512-452-6168.

You may also wish to subscribe to the public forum discussion list. The purpose of the discussion group is to provide more information on forthcoming speakers and to discuss past presentations. An updated list of speakers will be posted every month.

DVDs of earlier Public Affairs Forums from 2008 and previous years may be ordered for $10 from the church bookstore (in the gallery) after church on Sundays. There are some really good and interesting forums to be ordered! Avail yourself of this great opportunity to see some good programs. For information about past forums available to order, please see the past seasons’ schedules.
