Men's Fellowship Retreat at U-Bar-UWelcome to the Men’s Fellowship group centered at First Unitarian Universalist Church in Austin, TX. We welcome men from all over Central TX (and beyond) to our monthly breakfasts as well as our biannual retreats. Men from many congregations (FUUCA, Live Oak, Wildflower, UUCHC, UUSA, Congregation Beth Israel, Shir Ami) in addition to friends and family attend our events.

Breakfast

The Men’s Fellowship group gathers for breakfast on the second Saturday of each month (except when it coincides with a retreat), in the kitchen and gallery of First UU Church at 4700 Grover Avenue in Austin. Fellowship begins just after 7:00 AM or when the second person arrives. We are a self-sustaining group, so a donation of $5 for breakfast will help support our activities. We also do all of our own cooking, set up and clean up, so please plan to spend a couple of extra minutes at each meeting helping the group out with one of these activities. All men of good will are welcome and encouraged to bring guests. Come join us for a hearty breakfast, with fellowship and conversation that will carry you through the day.

Retreats

We have two retreats per year, Spring and Fall, at the beautiful, rugged U-Bar-U Retreat and Conference Center in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Our next retreat is November 18-20 2011, beginning with Friday dinner and ending with Sunday breakfast. Contact to register or for more information. The retreat will include fun, fellowship, reflection, volunteer projects around the ranch, and good food and friendship. The reasonable fee includes all meals and lodging, plus guided reflection and exploration with our facilitator, Rev. Mark Skrabacz, pastor of the UU Church of the Hill Country.
