Our church has adopted the People’s Community Clinic (PCC) as a church-wide social action project.

PCC is an independent, non-profit primary care provider for uninsured and under-insured Austinites. The clinic serves more than 11,500 people annually; providing more than 75,000 clinic visits each year for comprehensive health and wellness services to people who otherwise may not receive medical attention.

Our church project provides support to PCC in activities such as work sessions to prepare the materials PCC provides to new patients, partnering to conduct an annual Back-to-School Immunization Clinic, providing information about PCC at public events, collecting personal items needed by clinic patients, and volunteering onsite on a regular basis.

PCC highlighted First UU’s involvement on their Volunteer Spotlight page.  If you are interested in PCC Project activities, please email Nancy Dittmarr Stout & Nan Sechler: .
