Caroline Moore, First UU elementary choir director, has been teaching music for over a decade in New York City, where she also performed at BAM, Avery Fisher Hall, Alice Tully Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Allen Room, and the Metropolitan Opera. Caroline holds a B.A. from New York University’s Gallatin School, an M.A. in Music and Music Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, and she is currently a student in the Ph.D. Music and Human Learning program at UT Austin. Caroline is also the Early Childhood Coordinator and Chorus teacher at the UT String Project, the Summer Music Study Program Director and an Early Childhood Advisor at the Diller-Quaile School of Music in New York. Kati Cox, First UU youth choir director, holds a Bachelors of music education from Northern Iowa, a Masters in music education from Florida State, and is currently working towards a PhD in music and human learning from UT. She spent six years as the Centralia High School Choir and Drama Director, doubling the size of the program, and adding in music appreciation, guitar, and piano classes. She also spent five years as the Centralia First United Methodist Church chancel choir director in Illinois. Kati has a deep love of music and people, and experience as a clinician and presenter. She is extremely excited to work with the youth of First UU – let’s make music!
