{"id":4918,"date":"2011-01-07T23:04:53","date_gmt":"2011-01-08T05:04:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/austinuu.org\/wp2013\/"},"modified":"2025-07-08T15:47:47","modified_gmt":"2025-07-08T21:47:47","slug":"nominating-committee","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/austinuu.org\/wp2013\/governance\/nominating-committee\/","title":{"rendered":"Nominating Committee"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Overview<\/h2>\n<p>The Nominating Committee is responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Publicizing the board nomination process and soliciting interest,<\/li>\n<li>Identifying church members with good leadership potential,<\/li>\n<li>Conducting candidate interviews, and<\/li>\n<li>Nominating a slate of candidates to fill positions of responsibility within the church.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Nominating Committee Goals and Process<\/h2>\n<p>Our main goal is to ensure that church members who express an interest in board membership:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>fully understand the demands of board participation,<\/li>\n<li>bring skills that fit with the current needs of our church, and<\/li>\n<li>are most likely to have a productive and enriching term as a trustee.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you are a current member of our congregation and have an interest in learning more about a board position, contact any member of the Nominating Committee (below) or email <em><strong><a href=\"mailto:nomcom@austinuu.org\">nomcom@austinuu.org<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.
