Chris Long on Saturday, January 28, at 5:00 p.m. in room 15 at the church\u00a0<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Rev. Chris Long will be our guest Worship Leader on Sunday the 29<sup>th<\/sup>.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/austinuu.us2.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=ff6a4d4114435c741c47b916c&amp;id=c2a1ba9060&amp;e=f77c74472c\">Click here<\/a>\u00a0for Rev Long\u2019s Bio.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Rev. Long will lead a grounding session that will explore: what more might be provided that says, \u201cyou belong here\u201d? What are our hopes for how the church will build upon continuing strengths with and for BIPOC folks?<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>The gathering will begin with Rev. Chris Jimmerson briefly outlining the current vision for the church <br \/>living into the 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Principle: \u201cWe, the member congregations of the Unitarian Universalist Association, covenant to affirm and promote: journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.\u201d<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Living into the 8<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0Principle will also move us toward fulfilling our own church ends statement, \u201cWe partner with other organizations and faith communities to dismantle a culture of white supremacy and other systems of oppression, within ourselves, within our church community, and beyond our walls.<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>Rev Long will then stay with the group for the grounding session<br \/>\u00a0<br \/>We will provide pizza with vegetarian options.
