As a result, we have 10 candidates for the Search Committee<br \/>that will work to bring to the congregation a candidate to be our next settled minister: <strong>Wendy<\/strong><br \/><strong>Erisman, Ruth Friede-Cornell, Carolyn Gremminger, Tomas Medina, Peggy Morton, Celeste<\/strong><br \/><strong>Padilla, Gillian Redfearn, Tom Shindell, Bis Thornton, and Susan Thomson<\/strong>. You can read about<br \/>these candidates <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/austinuu.org\/wp2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/SearchCommitteeBallot.pdf\">here<\/a><\/strong><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/austinuu.org\/wp2013\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/04\/Search-Committee-Election-Sunday-April-30th.pdf\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Search Committee Election<\/span><\/strong><\/a> will occur on <strong>Sunday, April 30th<\/strong>. Individuals who are members of the<br \/>church as of March 31st will be able to vote either in-person or online. The ballot will list all 10<br \/>candidates and voters will be asked to rank the candidates by preference. More details and a<br \/>chance to practice are forthcoming.<\/p>\n<p>After the search committee has identified a candidate, the congregation will vote on that<br \/>candidate. Our bylaws require that a candidate get an affirmative vote of 90% of the members.<br \/>The timeline depends on whether the search committee and Rev.
