Visitors and newcomers unfamiliar with Unitarian Universalism may find information here to help understand how and why it compares and differs from religious faiths with which they are more familiar. Our members will use this section as a reference and reminder of our values and principles — how they arose out of the more traditional theology of Europe and the Christian era, and now embrace and welcome members and friends from all traditions.
The subpages in this section include
- UU History — a brief historical summary of Unitarian Universalism
- UUs in Austin — a brief history of the First Unitarian Church in Austin
- UU References — a page of reference links to more extensive information on our faith, much of it on the Unitarian Universalist Association’s web site. And guidance on how to find even more information by using search engines and the Wikipedia.
