Reservation/Rental Process

Thank you for considering First Unitarian Universalist Church of Austin as the venue for your event. First UU makes space available for rent to church members, nonprofit organizations, and members of the greater Austin community. The core functions of the church have first priority on the use of facilities. Further prioritization of facility use will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Please take a moment to review the following.

***Please note that due to construction plans, the church is not available for rentals beginning May 1, 2017. We will update this page when we have a date when rentals will resume. We hope you will consider us again, when renovations are complete.***


Reservation and Rental Process

The first step in the process is to submit an online reservation request form. The form provides the details needed to determine availability and the rental fee (non-church events). The form has a notes section where you can enter in any questions, alternate dates, etc. Or you can send a follow-up email to the appropriate staff member (see below).

For paid rentals, we ask that you please review our rental rates and policies and building layout before submitting the online reservation request form.

For church reservations: if there are no conflicts or follow-up information needed, you will receive a reservation confirmation within 3 business days from when the form was submitted. The staff member responsible for your group reservations will contact you if any additional information is needed to complete your request.

For paid rentals: you will receive a reply to your room reservation request with 3 business days. If there are no conflicts or follow-up information needed, you will receive an email containing a proposed contract with rental fee quote. To complete the rental process, a signed contract with payment must be made by the deadline given in the email.

• 25% discount

• $350 minimum rental (sexton/equipment fees not included) *exceptions considered

• Discounted rate of $20/hour when sexton is required/hired.
