Black Mamas ATX
August’s Second Sunday offering is for Black Mamas ATX. Black Mamas ATX’s mission is to reduce the alarming maternal mortality rates among Black mothers in Central Texas through culturally aligned birthing and mental health services. Black mothers are the backbones of their families, and supporting them positively changes outcomes for generations.
Both Reproductive and Racial Justice pillars of the First UU Social Action Council support Black Mamas ATX, a Black women-led organization, as community partners in the fight for our UU values of Equity and Justice.
