The next First UU Climate Committee meeting will be on Sunday, October 11th, from 12:30–1:30 PM in Room 13.
We are continuing our planning process under the Green Sanctuary 2030 program, a UU framework that helps congregations connect environmental stewardship, climate justice, and faith-based action.
Over the next months, we will be developing a shared vision for our climate ministry, identifying priorities, and creating one- and five-year goals that can guide our work. We want this process to reflect the interests, talents, and hopes of the congregation, which is why we are eager to welcome new participants.

This month we’ll examine how First UU Austin can help with Climate Resilience in our church and community, how we might help with preparation before additional, inevitable climate events and how we might help our community cope when those events occur.
You do not need to be a climate expert, attend every meeting, or take on a major commitment. If you care about climate justice, environmental stewardship, and the future we leave to coming generations, we hope you’ll join us.
